Enhanced Design Requirements for State-Feedback Control of Cyber-Physical Systems Subject to Denial-of-Service Attacks
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This study addresses the design of state-feedback controllers for Cyber–Physical Systems (CPSs) subject to Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks within a Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) framework. Due to the uncertainties and discontinuities introduced by such attacks, the CPS is modeled as a switched system to represent multiple operational modes under adversarial conditions. This modeling strategy inherently limits the attacker’s capability to sustain prolonged DoS attacks. A numerical case study is provided to illustrate the effectiveness and the applicability of the proposed approach in order to ensure the stability of CPS under various DoS attack scenarios.
