Abstract: ABSTRACT First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Ryosuke Nishimura is first author on ‘ Optogenetic control of mechanotransduction based on light-induced homodimerization of talin’, published in JCS. Ryosuke is a Postdoc in the lab of Pakorn (Tony) Kanchanawong at the National University of Singapore, investigating the molecular mechanisms of cell mechanotransduction, focusing on the structure and functions of cell adhesions.
