International Journal of Nursing Studies 2025; 21:105 193.Implications for practice and research:- Establishing good communication between healthcare professionals and patients with their family caregivers is a core tenet of good community-based palliative care.- Future research should consider addressing the education of care providers in negotiating the complex practical and emotional challenges of providing palliative care.
