Long-term Results of Initial Gamma Knife Radiosurgery for Acromegaly: A Retrospective Cohort Study
Year: 2025
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: Acromegaly requires multimodal management. While surgery is first-line, many patients have persistent/recurrent disease. Gamma knife radiosurgery (GKRS) offers precise radiation, but data on its use as initial therapy remain limited. This study aimed to review the outcomes and report on our experience in treating patients with acromegaly using initial GKRS.
