Abstract: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have limited efficacy in microsatellite-stable (MSS) or mismatch repair–proficient (pMMR) locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC). Combining ICIs with neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT) shows promise, but predictive biomarkers are lacking.
