346P Deciphering immune resistance mechanisms in NSCLC through patient-specific immunotherapy profiling

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Immunotherapy has significantly advanced the management of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC), particularly through the use of immune checkpoint inhibitors. However, only a fraction of patients benefit from these therapies. This limited response is attributed to the complex and underexplored interactions within the tumor immune microenvironment (TIME), individual tumor characteristics that contribute to primary or acquired resistance, and the lack of reliable predictive biomarkers. Moreover, the field is now evolving beyond the standard-of-care anti-PD-1 therapy, driven by the hypothesis that patients exhibiting primary resistance to anti-PD-1 may respond to alternative immune checkpoint inhibitors or combination therapies.
