178P Real world diagnosis of immune checkpoint inhibitor induced adrenal insufficiency with 9 a.m. cortisol and the short synacthen test
Year: 2025
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: Immuno-oncology (IO) treatments such as anti-PD-1 and anti-CTLA-4 therapies have improved outcomes of many malignancies. These therapies can trigger autoimmune adrenalitis leading to adrenal insufficiency (AI). As AI is life-threatening and necessitates lifelong management, timely diagnosis is critical. This clinical audit examines the effectiveness of IO induced AI diagnosis using 9.a.m. cortisol tests (9CT) and Short Synacthen Tests (SST) performed at our tertiary centre.
