Abstract: We report here the successful management of a life-threatening injury in a 20-year-old male presenting to our emergency department with laceration of the aero-digestive and vascular structures of the neck following a road traffic accident. Timely intervention from a multidisciplinary team led to successful resuscitation and surgical repair of the trachea and oesophagus. The patient was discharged from the hospital following a short stay in the critical care unit and is currently symptom-free.
