Retentive Saturation as a Structural Origin of Suppressed Growth in Late-Time Cosmology

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This work examines the persistent suppression of large-scale structure growth observed in late-time cosmology through a structural lens. Instead of attributing the effect to modified dynamics or changes in fundamental forces, the paper introduces the concept of retentive saturation: a post-dynamical regime in which the distinguishability of large-scale correlations converges toward a stable limit despite continued cosmic expansion. The framework treats suppressed growth as a consequence of saturation in observable correlation structure under increased integration and coarse-graining, rather than as evidence for weakened gravitational dynamics. Retentive saturation is formulated as a testable and falsifiable hypothesis, explicitly distinguished from evolving dark energy, modified gravity, and friction-based growth suppression models. The analysis preserves early-universe consistency and focuses exclusively on late-time observational regimes. Concrete operational tests and failure modes are outlined, enabling empirical discrimination between structural saturation and competing dynamical explanations. The work provides a structural interpretation of late-time growth suppression while remaining fully compatible with the standard cosmological framework.
