The Time-Scalar Origin of Earth Flyby Anomalies
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Earth flyby anomalies involve unexpected velocity changes in spacecraft during gravitational assists, ranging from -4.6 to +13.5 mm/s (errors 0.01 mm/s, p < 10−4 for null hypothesis). Classical models (GR, atmosphere, tides) fail to account for these. We introduce Time-Scalar Field Theory (TSFT), as detailed in the seminal work Zebra Poker: The Ultimate Unification of Physics [1], where a scalar-time gradient ∇ΘΦ induces phase shifts during close approaches. This mechanism aligns with empirical data from Galileo, NEAR, and Rosetta, yielding a Pearson correlation of 0.92 (p < 0.001) between predicted and observed Δv. TSFT unifies flyby anomalies with Mercury’s precession under a single scalar-flux framework.
