Abstract: We are honored to present the 2025 Chief Resident Grand Rounds Presentations edition of the Bulletin of the Hospital for Joint Diseases. The progression of orthopedics has been a cornerstone at New York University Langone Orthopedic Hospital with the likes of Dr. Viktor H. Frankel introducing the techniques of Gavriil Ilizarov to the United States and the advancement of fracture fixation by Dr. Howard Rosen. This time-honored tradition of orthopedic advancement and excellence at our institution continues with our graduating class. This issue consists of review articles authored by the 2024 graduating orthopedic surgery residency class. The topics presented in this edition of the Bulletin of the Hospital for Joint Diseases highlights the diversity of interests among the residency class. Articles discussing outpatient total shoulder arthroplasty, failed anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, shoulder instability, first-time shoulder dislocation treatment, and private equity are presented by our graduates pursuing a fellowship in sports medicine. Graduates pursuing hand fellowships discuss scapholunate injuries and the advancement in upper extremity amputations and prostheses. Cervical disk arthroplasty and pioneering women in orthopedics are presented by our graduates pursing spine orthopedics. Needle arthroscopy in foot and ankle pathology is discussed by our graduate pursing foot and ankle orthopedics. Genetics in total joint arthroplasty is discussed by our graduate pursing adult reconstruction orthopedics, and para athlete care is presented by our graduate pursing pediatric orthopedics.
