Abstract: The present study aims to measure the level of psychological stress among students at the University of Baghdad and to identify differences according to the variables of gender (male-female) and academic specialization (scientific-humanities).The study sample consisted of 100 students، equally divided between males and females and representing both scientific and humanities disciplines. The study adopted Al-Jumaily's (2010) Psychological Stress Scale after verifying its psychometric properties.Data were analyzed using the SPSS statistical package. Results revealed that university students generally do not suffer from high levels of psychological stress، as indicated by the significant difference between the sample mean and the hypothetical mean of the scale.Furthermore، no statistically significant differences were found in psychological stress levels attributable to gender or academic specialization. The study recommends enhancing preventive counseling programs and continuous monitoring of students' psychological well-being.
