Information Constraints Theory

Abstract: This paper introduces Information Constraints Theory (ICT), a physical framework in which energy is fundamental, while matter, time, and spacetime structure emerge from information-based constraints imposed on energy flow. Within this approach, time is not treated as a primary dimension, but as a measurable cost of maintaining informational constraints. When such constraints weaken or collapse, the theory predicts a local erosion of time, leading to rapid energy redistribution without invoking additional particles or hidden dimensions. The theory provides a quantitative mechanism to explain missing energy anomalies in B-meson decay, reproducing the observed 2.7σ deviation through a calculable information–energy coupling, without extending the Standard Model particle content. A decisive, falsifiable test is proposed, demonstrating how localized temporal collapse can be detected experimentally or through high-resolution numerical simulations. The framework unifies concepts from quantum mechanics, statistical physics, and information theory into a single, testable structure. ICT makes clear predictions that distinguish it from classical gravity, general relativity, and information-as-description models, positioning information as an active physical agent rather than a passive bookkeeping tool.
