Type: article
Abstract: The aim of this study is to describe the Slavic names included in the first tax registers of the Zviahel volost from 1570–1571 and 1576, as well as to determine their structural features. The source of the data is Первинні поборові реєстри Звягельської волості другої половини XVI ст. [First Tax Registers of the Zviahel Volost from the Second Half of the Sixteenth Century], edited by V. B. Atamanenko (2024). The article continues the study of male names of various structures which apear in those registers. The analysed material provides a record of a small number of compound male names, including Bohdan, Borys, Volo(d)ko, Zha(d)ko, Zhuk, Myrosh, Tomylo. The most common two-part anthroponymic formula includes a personal name followed by a patronymic with the suffix -ovych/-evych.
