Abstract: Structural and spectroscopic characterization of keatite (SiO 2 )" Vol.134, No. 1, p. 1-4This cover presents the crystal structure and Raman and 29 Si MAS NMR spectra of keatite (SiO 2 ).Keatite was discovered 72 years ago through hydrothermal synthesis, but its spectral characterization has been largely neglected.We now revisited keatite and report its Raman and 29 Si MAS NMR spectra for the first time.These spectra are expected to be useful for identifying both synthetic and natural keatite.
