New Interactive Generalized Interval Valued Pythagorean Fuzzy Soft Aggregation Operators and Their Applications

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: In multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM), Yager's Pythagorean fuzzy information handles a broad area concerning credible and non-credible factors with vagueness. In fuzzy set theory, rational decision-making is performed using an interval instead of a single grade.A research gap exists in MCDM for the combination of soft sets, intervals, and Pythagorean fuzzy information. This study initiates generalized interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy soft sets (GIVPFSSs) and their basic axioms, such as union, intersection, and complement. The interactive aggregation operators of GIVPFSSs are investigated alongside the related properties of idempotency, boundedness, and monotonicity.Interactive aggregation operators are formed based on the composition of credible and non-credible information, and GIVPFSSs are formulated to cope with all aspects of uncertainty. Therefore, this study provides a MCDM framework using interactive aggregation operators that control each component of GIVPFSSs in a specific pattern. The aim of a MCDM method is to discover and support the most favorable options, which improves the effectiveness of real-world decision-making.The proposed method is utilized to select a suitable basketball team by considering player performance in various basketball positions that yield GIVPFSSs.Furthermore, the proposed MCDM method is compared with other significant and contemporary MCDM methods.
