Construction of the XLS accelerating structure full prototype

Abstract: The objective of I.FAST Task 7.5 was to build and test two prototypes of the X-band (12 GHz) accelerating structure designed for the CompactLight (XLS) project, a new class of linac-driven FEL facility (https://www.compactlight.eu/). This document reports on the work carried out within the project, with an analysis of the production process for the fabrication of the two accelerating structures, RF tests and validation of the full prototype.
