Abstract: This article seeks to reflect on the proposal for scenic experimentation in the context of the Basic Elective subject Why did Brecht visit my school? from the process of creating the scene The big deal: story of a lunch, produced by high school students, from Centro Educa Mais Menino Jesus in Praga, São Luís, Maranhão. The article presents the steps that range from studies on the theory of didactic theater, by Bertolt Brecht, as well as the pedagogical proposal of the Eletiva de Base, passing through the practice of script construction and scene composition, in order to contribute to a practice that allows the spectator/acting student to have a more critical view of society.The practice resulted in the formulation of a proposal that aims to develop creation-learning processes contributing to the recognition of aesthetic phenomena.
