Abstract: The Journal aims to enhance theory, research and clinical practice in adolescent psychology, psychiatry, social work and allied disciplines through the publication of papers concerned with adolescent development, and the treatment and management of adolescent disorders.The Journal of Adolescence is an international, broadly based, cross-disciplinary Journal which addresses itself to issues of professional and academic importance.Its goal is to provide a forum for all who are concerned with the nature of adolescence, whether they are teaching, carrying out research, providing a service, or offering treatment, guidance or counselling.It is recognized that a variety of professions have an important contribution to make in furthering knowledge of adolescence, and the Editors welcome relevant contributions from all disciplinary areas.In the absence of a unifi ed body of generally accepted fact and theory, an important function of the Journal is to bring together empirical research, clinical studies and reviews of high quality, arising from different points of view. Journal of Adolescence has no page charges. Information for subscribersJournal of Adolescence is published in eight issues per year.
