Mn 2+ -assisted high-capacity retention in iron–chromium flow batteries via hydrogen evolution inhibition and Cr 3+ /Cr 2+ activation
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Herein, Mn 2+ improves the capacity retention of the ICRFB by inhibiting hydrogen evolution reaction and activating Cr 3+ /Cr 2+ activity with 0.002 mol L −1 Mn 2+ , resulting the great enhancement with capacity retention from 39 % to 73 %.
