Abstract: An efficient synthesis of ethyl 2-(4-aryl-2-dialkylamino-1,3-thiazole-5-yl)-2-oxoacetates is described via an one-pot reaction between acid chlorides, secondary amines, ethyl bromopyruvate, and ammonium thiocyanate.
