Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about unprecedented challenges, prompting nations worldwide to implement quarantine measures to curb the spread of the virus. However, these measures have led to far-reaching socio-economic disruptions, exacerbating inequalities and vulnerabilities within societies. In response to these challenges, social innovation has emerged as a critical tool for addressing the complex issues precipitated by quarantine measures during the COVID-19 period. This paper untitled "The Role of Social Innovation in Confronting the Challenges of Quarantine during the COVID-19 Period - a literature review analysis", presents a comprehensive literature review analysis aimed at understanding the role of social innovation in confronting quarantine challenges. Through a systematic review of peer-reviewed articles, reports, and case studies, we explore the conceptual framework, theoretical perspectives, and importance of social innovation in addressing quarantine challenges. We identify and analyze various social innovation initiatives, including alternative food networks, urban agriculture, and social enterprises, highlighting their effectiveness in mitigating the adverse effects of quarantine and promoting resilience within communities. The study also evaluates the challenges and limitations of social innovation efforts and provides insights for future research and practice. By shedding light on the role of social innovation in confronting quarantine challenges, this paper contributes to the growing body of literature on crisis response and resilience-building in the post-pandemic era.
