Abstract: Resilience is often discussed in the context of healthy aging, but, as I recently reflected after delivering a TED Talk–style presentation to alumni of the College of Nursing at the Ohio State University in Columbus, it is equally critical to the nursing profession. Just as individuals must build reserves to withstand health challenges, nursing must cultivate resilience to navigate policy shifts that threaten its foundation. Picture a fuel tank, and resilience is the fuel.
