Abstract: - Although many GitHub repositories are maintained by students and developers, it is still difficult to determinetheir true skill set based only on these repositories. Conventional profiling techniques are unable to extract usefulinformation about project contribution patterns, technology proficiency, and skill strengths. In order to extract user skills,visualize strengths, compare technical proficiency, and suggest appropriate technologies, this work proposes GitHub SkillSense, an automated system that examines GitHub repositories. The system incorporates Django for backend processing,Chart.js for visualization, the GitHub REST API for data collection, and an AI-powered engine for tailored suggestions.This solution helps students advance their careers and helps recruiters assess skills objectively by converting raw repositoryactivity into interpretable skill intelligence.
