Origen and the Authorship of the Letter of James

Abstract: This paper reconsiders the evidence for Origen’s views on the authorship of the letter of James. Contrary to the prevalent assumption among scholars, the evidence does not favour the view that Origen thought the letter was written by James the brother of Jesus.
