Muscular Coordination and Its Role in Volleyball Players’ Training

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Muscle coordination plays a key role in volleyball players' training, influencing the effectiveness of executing technical elements of the game such as serving, receiving the ball, blocking, and passing the ball. Well-developed coordination allows players to react quickly and accurately to changes in the game situation, perform complex movements, and maintain stability during the game. This is especially important in the context of high-speed and intense matches, where players are required to demonstrate maximum accuracy and movement coordination. Developing muscle coordination contributes to improving the technique of executing shots, reducing errors, and minimizing injuries. This article discusses methods for training muscle coordination, as well as the results of an experiment confirming the effectiveness of targeted coordination exercises in enhancing volleyball players' performance
