Mediation of protein pathology, resting-state BOLD signal variability, and memory performance.
Year: 2025
Type: other
Abstract: This project investigates how protein pathology is related to both resting-state BOLD signal variability and memory performance in individuals with mild cognitive impairment and dementia. As protein aggregation increases, there is an increased likelihood of memory deficit. However, there is a lack of research regarding BOLD signal variability and its relationships with protein aggregation and memory performance. The relationship between BOLD signal variability and memory performance will also be investigated. A follow-up mediation analysis will be conducted to explore whether changes in BOLD signal variability help explain the link between protein pathology and memory outcomes.
