Mid-infrared and Terahertz Graphene photodetectors for molecular sensing and wireless communications

Type: conference-paper
Abstract: We present a two-dimensional polaritonic-based platform to perform electrical spectroscopy of polaritonic nanoresonators at mid and long-wave infrared range. We have demonstrated the geometrical and electrical tunability of these nanoresonators, which can achieve quality factors of up to ~200. Following this approach, we electrically detect the interactions between 2D polaritonic nanoresonators and vibrational modes of molecular thin layers at the nm scale. Finally, we show a sub-terahertz graphene receiver capable of detecting data streams with multigigabit/s data rate.
