Abstract: Professional education programs, from law schools and medical schools to counseling programs and accounting programs, often require students to adhere to professionalism standards that include subjective components as well as to conventional objective academic and conduct standards as a condition of advancement and continued enrollment. An ongoing lawsuit tests the relationship between discipline for alleged professionalism violations and the prohibition against disability discrimination in higher education.
