Abstract: Esophageal lung is an extremely rare congenital malformation characterized by an abnormal connection between the esophagus and the bronchial tree, without communication with the airway. We present the case of a 4-month-old female patient who was admitted to the hospital with a diagnosis of pneumonia. Complementary studies confirmed the presumptive diagnosis of esophageal lung. Surgical treatment was then decided upon, and a pneumonectomy with esophageal repair was performed. The patient progressed favorably.
