Constructing determinants of urban brownfield redevelopment in China through the fuzzy Delphi method
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: This research aims to investigate the determinants of urban brownfield redevelopment in China by employing the Fuzzy Delphi Method (FDM) to identify and filter key influencing factors. The research framework is structured around four dimensions: economic, environmental, social, and policy-related aspects. Based on the literature review, an initial indicator system comprising 30 sub-factors was developed. Through two rounds of expert surveys and triangular fuzzy number analysis, the influence levels and rankings of these factors were determined. The research highlights the importance of integrating expert opinions from diverse fields to ensure a comprehensive evaluation. The findings provide a systematic framework for understanding the determinants of urban brownfield redevelopment and offer valuable insights for feasibility assessments, policy formulation, and the future application of machine learning prediction models.
