Environmental Decoherence and Spectral Ontological Collapse in the TNA Framework

Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: We present a unified interpretation of environmental decoherence within the Theory of Residency (TNA) framework, establishing a formal correspondence between quantum state stabilization and linear spectral resolution. We argue that environmental decoherence is not merely the loss of phase information, but an ontological mechanism through which Spectral Deltas emerge as stable modes of existence induced by boundary structures By analyzing the reduction of the density matrix rho into its diagonal spectral form, we demonstrate that pointer states are functionally equivalent to Ontological Deltas, whose weights quantify their structural necessity. Furthermore, we show that this process is the quantum analog of the classical A^T A diagonalization in linear systems, where both represent the reduction of incoherence into structurally necessary modes. This approach complements standard decoherence theory by providing a structural basis for outcome selection, ultimately bridging the gap between quantum measurement, linear algebra, and structural necessity,Diagram https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TxZtBJpwCAzkOGBU3sEpLwhV7DoC3tFA/view?usp=drive_link Video abstract: conceptual overview of Boundary-Induced Collapse and its structural account of quantum measurement. https://vimeo.com/1154560780?share=copy&fl=sv&fe=ci
