Abstract: In this scientific paper analyzes the importance of digitalization in the mechanical engineering industry, with a focus on the use of the Walter GPS platform for optimizing machining processes. The software enables automatic selection of cutting tools and adjustment of operating parameters, contributing to increased efficiency, precision and cost reduction. Its integration with other modern technologies, such as sensors, CAD/CAM systems and simulators, supports the complete digitalization of production flows. The paper proposes a comparative analysis between classical methods and modern solutions offered by Walter GPS.
