Abstract: Teinobasis sp. cf. suavis Lieftinck, 1953 Selected relevant references: Teinobasis suavis Lieftinck, 1953;— Lieftinck 1953a: 244–246, fig. 5 (original description, type series from Central Kalimantan);— Dow 2010: 226 (possible record from SW Sarawak). Specimens collected. Taxonomic remarks. During the surveys in the Kampar Peninsula a number of female Teinobasis were collected, all in PSF, which are at least very closely related to the poorly known T. suavis from Central Kalimantan. As with a very similar female recorded from Sarawak by Dow (2010), these females might actually be T. suavis (significantly increasingly the known range of that species) but until males are found the possibility that they belong to some other, undescribed, species closely allied to T. suavis cannot be ruled out. Other remarks. The female collected in January 2020 was perched at chest height in PSF flooded by the Serkap River. Those collected in February and June 2023 were perched low and inconspicuously in vegetation to the sides of trail pools. Despite deliberate searches no males could be found.
