Abstract Tu0081: In a murine model of PAD, genetic loss of the absent in melanoma 2 (AIM2) inflammasome promotes regional transcriptional activity favoring regeneration, cellular communication and management of oxidative stress

Type: conference-abstract
Abstract: We previously showed that the absent-in-melanoma 2 (AIM2) inflammasome is expressed in PAD myoblasts, reduces their ability to differentiate, and may cause myopathy. Here, using spatially resolved genetic profiling, we tested the hypothesis that beneficial effects of AIM2 inhibition in myoblasts can be detected in vivo, associated with genetic features favoring regeneration, and linked to greater cell-cell communication in muscle ischemia.
