Abstract: Nick Hales expands on his earlier article, published in the February 2024 News-letter, which advocated the use of a modified Doughnut Economics ring using three rings to recognise the current situation of the global economy. Nick helps illustrate these concepts with a real-world example relating to the production of electric vehicle batteries, in particular, the mining of resources required for their manufacture.
