IoT-Sim: An interactive platform for designing and securing smart device networks

Abstract: The IoT-Sim is a lightweight and modular tool designed to create, configure, and test models that detect attacks in Internet of Things (IoT) networks. It provides an interactive environment for simulating communication among connected devices and evaluating intrusion detection models. This framework allows researchers to design network topologies, inject different types of attacks, and benchmark detection algorithms under controlled conditions. By combining usability and flexibility in an open-source design, the simulator is a valuable resource for the education, research, and rapid prototyping of IoT security solutions.
