Abstract: This conference paper presents Tools4CAP, a Horizon Europe project that supports the new delivery model of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) by strengthening evidence-based strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation of CAP Strategic Plans. It outlines the project’s objectives and approach, including: (i) building an inventory of methods and tools relevant for CAP governance; (ii) selecting and analysing case studies to understand what works in practice and under which conditions; (iii) testing and validating selected tools through pilots and stakeholder engagement; and (iv) providing capacity-building and guidance to national and regional authorities, evaluators and practitioners.
