Abstract: This review-based study examines the evolution, contemporary trends, and prospective future of podcast broadcasting in Türkiye. The evolution of podcasting in Türkiye parallels the global rise in interest in audio-based digital content. The work analyzes various aspects of podcasting’s evolution, such as the demographics of the audience, content genres, distribution and production, and advertising and sponsorship structures. It also shows the increasing relevance of Spotify and YouTube and displays the highly educated and younger audience profile of the country. It also concerns the trends regarding the professional production of podcasts through dedicated agencies as well as the expansion of digital audio advertising. Türkiye's podcast market is still far from global maturity, but the remarkable growth potential and increasing content diversity, coupled with a shift towards hybrid audio-visual consumption, indicate that the future positioning of podcasting in the media and communication ecosystem of the country will be much more significant.
