Abstract: Title: Algorithmic Rhetoric: Foundations of a New Discipline in Human-AI Interaction Abstract: As Large Language Models (LLMs) become ubiquitous, the prevailing method of interaction—commonly known as "Prompt Engineering"—remains largely heuristic and pre-scientific. This whitepaper proposes the establishment of Algorithmic Rhetoric as a formal interdisciplinary science that transcends simple instruction-based paradigms. Unlike traditional Prompt Engineering, which focuses on trial-and-error optimization for specific outputs, Algorithmic Rhetoric investigates the semantic, psychological, and structural linguistic patterns required to effectively navigate the high-dimensional probabilistic state space of generative AI. Drawing from linguistics, cognitive science, and cybernetics, this framework argues that LLMs should not be viewed merely as text generators (exogenous simulators), but as dynamic maps of the human psychological spectrum (endogenous simulators). By applying rhetorical principles to algorithmic logic, we can transition from passive tool usage to Cognitive Symbiosis—a state where human intent and machine execution align perfectly without loss of nuance. This document serves as a foundational manifesto, defining the core axioms, ethical implications, and the strategic necessity of Algorithmic Rhetoric for retaining human cognitive sovereignty in the age of artificial intelligence. Keywords: Algorithmic Rhetoric, Human-AI Interaction, Large Language Models (LLM), Cognitive Symbiosis, Prompt Engineering, Cybernetics, Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Science, Digital Sovereignty.
