Green competencies – employer requirements in the light of sustainable human resource management in organisations
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Purpose: The purpose of this article is to identify the green competencies requirements for candidates employed in green positions. Methodology: The Research sample was gathered using the Web Scraping procedure. Data were analysed using both qualitative (Delphi method) and quantitative methods (descriptive statistics and statistical testing). Findings: Behavioural green competences are more important than functional ones for companies. It is important to state the importance of experience in a contemporary situation on the labour market. Research limitations/implications: One of the biggest limitations is a lack of definition of green competences and a lack of a single frame, which might be the base for comparative research projects. Originality/value: The results constitute a picture of the contemporary labour market.
