Abstract: EVI Technical Appendix v1.8.6 — Revised Edition This Technical Appendix is a companion document to EVI: A Minimal Physical Framework for Ordered Growth and Pre-Biological Individuality. It provides a technical elaboration of the EVI framework (Emergenza di Vincoli e Interazioni), examining the physical constraints and organizational thresholds associated with the emergence of ordered growth, structural persistence, historical memory, and functional interiority in non-biological systems. The framework describes a hierarchy of organizational accessibility under jointly compatible families of constraints. It does not propose an inevitable evolutionary sequence or claim to explain the origin of life. Version history v1.8 — February 2, 2026: First public release of the Technical Appendix, documenting a framework developed and stabilized prior to publication. v1.8.6 — October 11, 2026: Revised edition incorporating methodological clarifications, refinements of the organizational thresholds, more precise distinctions between structural memory and functional interiority, and editorial corrections. The present revision preserves the original theoretical scope and explicitly identifies G6 as the pre-biological boundary of the framework, without asserting sufficient or demonstrated necessary conditions for the emergence of life.
