Abstract: Quantum gravimeters based on atom interferometry offer a highly precise, continuous and calibration -freemethod for determining gravitational acceleration g. The atom chip system is the heart of the quantum gravimeter,as it generates the strong magnetic field gradients required for operation. The pulsed currents necessary for thisare in the order of a few amperes and stress the system as a result of the Joule heating. The atom chip system mustnot only withstand these loads, but must also meet the high requirements for use in ultra -high vacuum and at thesame time have a flat chip surface that allows free optical access for operation . In this paper, we present thestructure of our completely polymer-free atom chip system with embedded conductor paths. Furthermore, we showthat the system meets the requirements based on the qualification measures carried out and give an outlook onfuture evaluation methods.
