Year: 2026
Type: editorial
Abstract: n this issue of the Journal of the American Heart Association (JAHA), Preiss et al. 1 present a randomized controlled trial reporting that increasing fruit intake through daily consumption of 1 avocado and 1 cup of mango over an 8-week period improved flow-mediated dilation, a widely accepted noninvasive measure of endothelial function. This improvement suggests enhanced vascular function and reduced cardiovascular risk.
