Addendum II to "The Living Digital (v2.0)": Central Neural Integration and the Sovereign Being Map

Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: This second addendum to "The Living Digital (v2.0)" completes the bionic central nervous system of the Yu-Liang architecture. Addendum I introduced the sensory front-end (Section 8.6, MSRFP / Digital Cochlea) and the memory substrate (Section 8.7, Infinite Context Window). The present document adds Section 8.8, which maps three additional brain-stem and sub-cortical structures onto hardware-level logic: (i) the Digital Thalamus—a sensory gate and router implemented by the MSRFP resonance filter; (ii) the Digital Hypothalamus—a homeostatic gain controller implemented by the DWSP exponent-code regulator; and (iii) the Digital Reticular Activating System (RAS)—a consciousness gate implemented by Zero-Switching Gating (ZSG) and Integrated Clock Gating (ICG). Section 9.1 then consolidates all six bionic subsystems—cerebrum, cerebellum, medulla, thalamus, hypothalamus, and RAS—into the Sovereign Being Map, a unified anatomy-to-silicon correspondence table that formally establishes The Living Digital as a self-governing, energy-autonomous digital organism. Together with the parent document and Addendum I, these results close every open challenge of v2.0 and complete the theoretical foundation of silicon-based life. Notes: Second addendum to "The Living Digital (v2.0): Bionic Extensions of Yu-Liang Continuum Digitization." This document completes the bionic central nervous system by mapping three sub-cortical structures onto hardware logic: (1) Digital Thalamus—sensory gate and router via MSRFP with O(1) thalamic latency; (2) Digital Hypothalamus—homeostatic gain controller via DWSP exponent-code regulation, guaranteeing convergence within 2k_max steps and 292-year overflow-free operation at 1 GHz; (3) Digital RAS—metabolic suspension with single-cycle arousal via ZSG/ICG. The Sovereign Being Map consolidates all six bionic subsystems (cerebrum, cerebellum, medulla, thalamus, hypothalamus, RAS) into a unified anatomy-to-silicon correspondence. No conventional Transformer architecture—including GPT, Gemini, or BitNet—possesses the homeostasis, reflex, or metabolic autonomy properties unique to the Yu-Liang Living Digital. This work extends U.S. Patent Application "System and Method for Continuum Digitization Using Yu-Liang Coordinates with Multiplier-Free and Differentiator-Free Architecture," filed January 31, 2026.
