Hyaline Vascular Castleman Disease Presenting as Occipital Scalp Swelling in a Child

Year: 2026
Type: article
Study design: Case Report
Abstract: Castleman disease (CD) is rare in children, especially with occipital scalp involvement. We report a 9-year-old girl with a long-standing, asymptomatic occipital swelling diagnosed as hyaline vascular Castleman disease post-excision. This case highlights the need to consider Castleman's disease in atypical pediatric scalp masses for accurate diagnosis and management.
