Enhancing Cybersecurity Through Intelligent Automation: Leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Technologies
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: The exponential growth of cyber threats in the digital age necessitates advanced defensive mechanisms that can adapt to evolving attack vectors. Traditional security approaches are increasingly inadequate in addressing the sophistication and scale of modern cyber attacks. This research examines the transformative role of intelligent automation in cybersecurity through the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies. The paper investigates how automated security systems enhanced with AI/ML capabilities can significantly improve threat detection accuracy, response time, and operational efficiency. Key focus areas include the examination of automated threat intelligence, behavioral analysis, vulnerability management, and incident response mechanisms. The study analyzes multiple generations of cyber threats and evaluates how AI-powered automation provides scalable solutions for threat hunting, malware detection, and predictive security analytics. While acknowledging challenges such as adversarial attacks, model drift, and implementation complexity, this research demonstrates that intelligent automation represents a critical evolution in cybersecurity infrastructure. The findings provide valuable insights for security professionals and organizations seeking to implement next-generation security frameworks that combine human expertise with machine intelligence to create more resilient and adaptive defense systems.
