Abstract: composite resins, compomers, or resin-modified GICs-can mask discoloration while improving esthetics and patient satisfaction.7 The adhesion of restorative materials to any dental structure is a key aspect in the choice of restorative techniques. 2 Usually, an adhesive system is used as a pretreatment before placing composite restorations. While etch-and-rinse adhesives demonstrate superior clinical performance, their technique-sensitive, multistep protocol poses challenges in pediatric cases.Development toward self-etch adhesive systems has added an advantage to speed up the bonding IntroductIonThe foremost goal of pediatric dentistry is to prevent the spread of tooth decay. 1 In recent years, advancements in restorative materials, brought a deeper understanding primarily about the caries process and have enabled the implementation of a minimally invasive dentistry approach.2 It involves managing the least minimal tissue removal without causing any destruction to the surrounding healthy tissue.3 Studies have demonstrated that when it comes to preventing dental cavities in the primary teeth, silver diamine fluoride (SDF) is 89% more effective than other active therapies.4 SDF is an effective, equitable, safe, simple, and noninvasive caries preventive agent that is administered topically.1 This comprehensive approach not only effectively arrests dental caries in primary teeth but also shows early intervention against caries in the anatomical pits and fissures of the newly erupted succedaneous molars, thereby safeguarding their future dental health.5 Silver diamine fluoride is available in concentrations ranging from 10% to 38%, formulated with silver, ammonia, fluoride, and water, where silver and fluoride serve as the supreme ions of the SDF solution.6 However, its major drawback is the black staining of caries lesions. To address this, minimally invasive restorative techniques using tooth-colored materials-such as glass ionomer cement (GIC), 1-
