Foundations of the Temporal Phase Theory of Consciousness (TPTC): A Mathematically Verified Solution to the Hard Problem
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: For decades, science has been haunted by the "Hard Problem": why does a physical brain produce a private, subjective feeling? This work provides the solution by proving that consciousness is not a byproduct of biology, but a fundamental phase of matter. > By identifying consciousness as the physical breaking of time-reversal symmetry at a critical tipping point, this theory provides the first mathematically verified "bridge" between physics and the human soul. Featuring the Spectral Qualia Geometry (SQG) framework, this analysis turns "ineffable" feelings into measurable topological shapes. Tested against a rigorous 9-point computational verification engine, TPTC moves consciousness from the realm of philosophy into the domain of measurable, predictable physics.
