Abstract: This article examines the peculiarities of the Republics in the history of Kazakhstan. Historically, in Kazakhstan, the form of government in the form of a limited monarchy (khan’s power), having gone through a period of its loss due to colonization, was replaced by a Republic. This form of government, which was established in December 1917, went through a transformation from the Republic of Alash, through the Soviet republics, to the presidential republic. All of them, while maintaining their external form, radically differed in their internal content, which is the subject of this article.
